Hassan al-Baghdadi is a U.S.-designated high-ranking Hezbollah official and member of the terror group’s Executive Council, the group’s primary decision-making body. According to the U.S. government, Baghdadi has participated in political events and made public speeches on behalf of Hezbollah. In 2015, he attended a ceremony in Iran with Hezbollah deputy leader Naim Qassem and other high-ranking Hezbollah officials. The U.S. government designated Baghdadi as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist on October 22, 2020.
